On 29 September 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, delivered the keynote address at the Inaugural Session of the Fletcher Global Diplomacy Institute Program at Tufts University, to a group of 30 distinguished participants ranging from mid- to senior-level diplomats and government officials from 15 countries.

His address touched on critical issues shaping today’s global landscape, including the transformation and changes in the global architecture, conflict resolution, the importance of technology and artificial intelligence, as well as the evolving nature of diplomacy.

The session sparked vibrant discussion, with numerous follow-up questions from participants eager to engage in pressing topics such as the relevancy of the United Nations and ASEAN in today’s global landscape where bilateral diplomacy has a control role. This is a closed session exclusively for the Program’s participants. This session received overwhelmingly positive feedback, highlighting its relevance and the strong interest in cultivating adaptive leadership and bilateral, multilateral and global cooperation.
