On 24 January 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy organized a talk on the US 2024 elections with Ms. Lissandra Villa de Petrzelka, a reporter from the Boston Globe, hosted by Ambassador Tanee Sangrat. The topics of discussion included the Republican caucus and primary results in Iowa and New Hampshire, Trump’s legal charges, and the election campaigns of the Republican and Democratic parties with a focus on issues that are of high priority for the American public such as immigration/border security, economy/inflation and abortion rights. The event was attended by the diplomatic corps and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand.
