On 15 August 2023 Ambassador Tanee Sangrat attended a meeting on Thai-U.S. cooperation chaired by Mr. Rapibhat Chandarasrivongs, Director-General of the Department of Agriculture at the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. The meeting discussed ways to promote Thai fruit exports to the U.S., and cooperation with the U.S. on climate action in agricultural sector including on AIM4C initiative, PM2.5 reduction, knowledge sharing on adaptation and mitigation, and carbon credit for agricultural product exports, as well as Thailand’s preparation for the enforcement of the U.S. Import Provisions on Fish and Fishery products under Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA)
