On 10 January 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, hosted a lunch meeting with the Thai business community in Florida at Khaosan Road Restaurant in Coral Gables. Also present at the meeting were Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, Mr. Chavanol Phivnil, Director of Thai Trade Center, Miami, Mr. Somsak Moolsiri, President of Thai American Association of Florida, Mr. Joshua Ho, Program Director of the Asian American Advisory Board, Miami-Dade County, and officers from the Royal Thai Embassy.

Ambassador Suriya and the Thai business community discussed a wide range of topics, including the living conditions of the Thai community in Florida, the current status of Thai business operations, and areas where the Royal Thai Embassy and Thai Trade Center could provide support. They also exchanged views on potential policy changes by the U.S. Government under the upcoming Trump administration.

Additionally, Ambassador Suriya briefed the Thai business community on the objectives of his visit to Florida and the key priorities of the Thai Government and Embassy, emphasizing efforts to foster good working relationships with the incoming administration through networks in Florida. The Ambassador also visited a handmade craft shop owned by a Thai businessperson in the area.
