On 22 May 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, met with Ambassador Piper Campbell, Chair of the Department of Foreign Policy and Global Security, at American University’s School of International Services, and discussed ways to strengthen academic collaboration between Thailand and the United States.

The meeting centered on advancing international studies, fostering mutual understanding,
and exploring academic and research partnerships. Ambassador Chindawongse also emphasized
the importance of supporting the well-being and academic success of Thai and Thai-American students at American University. This engagement underscores Thailand’s ongoing commitment to building educational and diplomatic bridges with the United States.
