Ambassador of Thailand Inspects the Mobile Consular Services at Bangkok Market Grocery Store and Meets with the Thai Community in Nashville, Tennessee

H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, inspected the Embassy’s Mobile Consular Services at Bangkok Market grocery store in Nashville, Tennessee, held during 4 – 6 August 2026, with the aim of providing consular services to Thai nationals residing in Tennessee and nearby states. Services included passport applications, ID card renewals, applications for birth and death certificates, as well as legalization of document and powers of attorney.
On 4 August 2026, a special walk-in session was arranged for senior citizens aged 60 and above, allowing them to receive services without prior appointment.
This mission is the Embassy’s ninth mobile consular service operation of the Fiscal Year 2026. It was successfully carried out through the generous support and cooperation of Mr. Pornchai Ratchabandit, owner of Bangkok Market, for providing the venue, and Mr. Prayuth Silpacharn, President of the Thai Association of Tennessee, as well as local volunteers for their valuable support. A total of 84 individuals received the services, including 38 passport renewals,23 renewals of national identification cards, 2 cases of birth and death certificate applications and 21 consultations on consular matters.
On this occasion, the Ambassador also hosted a dinner for volunteers and Thai community leaders who supported the consular services at Siam Café Restaurant, providing an opportunity to exchange views on various matters concerning the local Thai community.
