On 10 August 2026, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over a Buddhist chanting ceremony and offering of alms food, dedicated as a Royal Merit-Making Tribute, and also led a volunteer activity in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother's Birthday Anniversary at Wat Thammaprateep, Washington, D.C. The ceremony was attended by heads of Team Thailand offices, officials, staff and families of Team Thailand, as well as members of the Thai community in Washington, D.C. and nearby states.
On 9 August 2026, heads of Team Thailand offices, including Col. Kitisak Kanchanavasita, Defense and Military Attaché; Ms. Aroonsri Methisariyapong, Minister (Economic and Financial); and Mr. Thitidej Tularak, Minister-Counsellor (Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation), participated in activities at three Thai Buddhist temples in the Washington, D.C. area in observance of the auspicious occasion.
