The Royal Thai Embassy co-hosted a Buddhist chanting with the Thai and Thai–American communities in the U.S. to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at Wat Thai Washington, D.C. on 27 October 2025. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., and attended by heads of Thai government agencies under “Team Thailand” in the United States, embassy officials, staff and their families, as well as members of the Thai and American communities in the Washington, D.C. area. The event was also honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Sean O'Neill, U.S. Ambassador-designate to Thailand, Mr. Brett Blackshaw, Senior Advisor, Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, U.S. Department of State, and their spouses. More than 150 people participated in the ceremony.

The Royal Thai Embassy will hold a seventh-day memorial ceremony on 30 October 2025, at 08.00 hrs. at Wat Thai Washington, D.C.
