On 17 May 2025, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, together with Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, attended the “Welcome to Thailand Festival” organized by NVA Thai Market, held for the first time at One Loudoun in Ashburn, Virginia.

On this occasion, the Ambassador delivered opening remarks at the official ceremony welcoming the event. The Royal Thai Embassy also participated by setting up a booth to promote the upcoming Sawasdee DC Thai Festival 2025 and providing consular information services to attendees. Congressman Suhas Subramanyam, Representative of Virginia’s 10th Congressional District, also attended the event and presented a letter of appreciation commending the NVA Thai community for organizing the festival.

The festival featured a wide array of traditional and modern Thai food and beverages, Thai product vendors, and cultural performances throughout the day. The event received an overwhelming response from the local community in Ashburn and nearby areas.
