On Friday 21 March 2025, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States met international students from the Phillips Academy, Andover, MA, at the Royal Thai Embassy, Washington DC. On this occasion, Ambassador Suriya gave an overview of Thailand, Thailand’s foreign policy and the Thai-U.S. relations, highlighting on the long-standing relationship of over 192 years and Thailand’s view of the United States as an important strategic partner, friend and ally. In addition, Ambassador Suriya gave guidance on how to approach life as a student as well as invited students and friends to join Embassy’s future events, especially the Thai Festival 2025, to be held at the National Mall, on 14 September 2025.

Following this meeting, on the same day, Ambassador Suriya met a group of Thai prep school scholarship students, in which Ambassador shared his experience as a student in the United States and provided guidance on the role of a Thai student and similar guidance on how to approach life as a student studying abroad. Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Royal Thai Embassy and Mrs. Pajita Diskul Na Ayudhya, Minister (Educational Affairs) also joined both discussions.
