The Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy Provides Mobile Consular Services at Wat Buddha Bucha in Georgia

During 17-19 April 2026, the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C., led by Mr. Vasu Srivarathonbul, Counsellor and Head of Consular section, provided consular services at Wat Buddha Bucha to Thai nationals residing in Georgia and nearby states. The consular team facilitated the issuance of new passports, renewal of Thai national ID cards, applications for Thai birth and death certificates, as well as offered consultations on various consular matters including certification of official Thai documents and powers of attorney. A special walk-in service to facilitate senior Thai citizens aged 60 and above was provided on 17 April 2026

 

The mobile consular service was successfully conducted with the support of the Thai Association of Georgia, Board members and monks of Wat Buddha Bucha, and local volunteers. In total, 292 individuals received consular services, including:

138 passport renewals

99 Thai national ID card renewals

19 applications for Thai birth and death certificates

36 consultations on other consular matters
