Upon official request, Thai Embassies and Consulates-General may grant courtesy visas to diplomatic/official/ordinary passport-holders who wish to enter the Kingdom on other purposes except for official mission (e.g. transit, medical)

Supporting documents are documents issued by the governmental agency, foreign government or international organization, certifying the identity of the person concerned and his/her purposes while visiting the Kingdom

If the applicant does not have a valid visa or re-entry permit, the applicant must fill in the information and upload all required documents online at https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ (For instructions, please check https://www.thaievisa.go.th/static/English-Manual.pdf )

Required documents to upload in the system (Large and clear JPEG or PDF format): 

1. Passport Biodata Page or Travel Document (Must be valid within 6 months from travel date)
2. Photograph of the applicant, taken within the past six months
3. Document indicating current location (driving license, bank statement, or proof of stay)
4. Note verbale from sending State and international organization or invitation letter indicating applicant's name, position, purpose of visit, length of stay in Thailand, and signed by the authorized person

Purpose of visit : IMF/WBG Annual Meetings 2026 (Participants or Official Media)

Validity of visa : 30 days (single)

Required documents to upload in the system (Large and clear JPEG or PDF format): 

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photagraph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc.)
4. Registration confirmation letter from the IMF/WBG (*For OFFICIAL MEDIA, applicants must also submit a Note Verbale from relevant organizations stating that you are assigned as an official menber of the media attached to the delegation)

Purpose of visit : IMF/WBG Annual Meetings 2026 (Media with registration confirmation letter from IMF/WBG)

Validity of visa : 30 days (single)

Required documents to upload in the system (Large and clear JPEG or PDF format): 

1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
2. Photagraph taken within the last six months
3. Document indicating current location (e.g., valid visa, receipt(s)/proof(s) of payment of airline tickets or accommodation, etc.)
4. Registration confirmation letter from the IMF/WBG
5. Letter of Assignment from a News Agency to cover the event
