On 17 October 2024, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, attended the Reception for Recipients of the Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiatives (YSEALI) at the National Museum of American Diplomacy, State Department.

On this occasion, Ambassador Suriya congratulated Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell on the success of the YSEALI since it’s launch in 2013 when D/S Campbell was serving as Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Additionally, Ambassador Suriya met and discussed about the YSEALI experience with seven participants from Thailand and also introduced two participants, from Bangkok and Pattani, to D/S Campbell.
