Dr. Suriya Chindawonge, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, joined H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, who headed the Thai Delegation to the United Nations General Assembly in New York last week. He was assigned by the Thai Foreign Minister to attend and speak at the U.S. ASEAN Business Council (USABC) Business Luncheon on 26 September 2024 to promote the economic and business partnership between Thailand and the U.S. and to dialogue with key members of the U.S. private sectors to promote further investment in Thailand. He also was assigned to meet with senior executives of Amazon in order to promote further investment and expansion of business activities by Amazon in Thailand in order to support the operations of Thai SMEs and businesses in provincial areas, as well as the upskilling of Thai workers.
