Thailand Ranked Among the Safest Countries for Solo Female Travelers

Thailand has been ranked the eighth safest country in the world for solo women travelers, according to         a global survey conducted by U.S.-based Everly Life Insurance Company. The survey cited Thailand’s low crime rates, safety after dark, and positive attitudes toward women as key reasons behind the high ranking.

“Thailand, which has seen a tourism boom since hosting the third season of the HBO hit The White Lotus, landed eighth on the list,” wrote the New York Post in its coverage of the survey.

The study by Everly Life Insurance evaluated a range of factors contributing to solo female travel safety, including homicide rates, perceptions of violence against women, and the safety of public spaces at night.

The endorsement is not limited to data alone. Thailand has also received enthusiastic praise from well-known travel bloggers who focus on independent female travel. Adventurous Kate, a popular blog by solo travel expert Kate McCulley, consistently recommends Thailand as a top destination for women exploring the world on their own.

“I’ve traveled solo in Thailand several times in the past ten years,” McCulley wrote. “I consider it one of     the best destinations in the world for women traveling on their own, including first-time solo female travelers. Even though Asia may seem daunting, Thailand is as easy as Asia gets.”

Thailand was also the first solo travel destination for Kristin Addis, the founder of Be My Travel Muse, who has written extensively about her experiences in the Kingdom and repeatedly highlighted it as a welcoming and accessible destination for women traveling alone.

Ms. Sasikarn Watthanachan, Deputy Government Spokesperson, welcomed the recognition, noting: “This recognition marks another significant step in strengthening the ‘Amazing Thailand’ brand on the global stage.”

With its blend of cultural richness, hospitality, safety, and accessibility, Thailand continues to stand out as     a leading destination for solo female travelers from around the world.
