Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, visited Thailand from 13–17 October 2026 to participate in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (AM2026). Held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the meetings were co-hosted by Thailand’s Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Bank of Thailand (BOT) under the theme “Thailand’s New Horizons: Empowering People, Building Resilience.”

During the visit, Ambassador Suriya attended a bilateral meeting between H.E. In addition, he participated in the “Debate on the Global Economy: Forging Resilient and Dynamic Economies for the Future” and a panel discussion on “Financing a Resilient Green Economy,” featuring the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Thailand and the Vice Minister of Finance of Thailand, respectively.
