Soak up those rays and bask in the praise. Reviewers from around the world have named Banana Beach in Thailand the best beach in Asia in TripAdvisor’s 2025 Travelers' Choice Awards with two other expanses of Thai coastline making the top ten list.

“Known for its wide stretch of white sand and crystal-clear blue waters, the beach remains nearly untouched due to the absence of restaurants and commercial tourism services,” TripAdvisor wrote about Banana Beach.

Situated on Coral Island just off the southern tip of Phuket, Banana Beach isn’t as well-known as several other beaches on the island itself, which is the Kingdom’s premier resort destination.

The recognition shows that, despite being visited by literally hundreds of millions of tourists during the past several decades, Thailand still has hidden and unspoiled treasures that have yet to be discovered by the masses.

Taking seventh place on the list was Thailand’s White Sand Beach, a ribbon of pristine coastline just north of Khao Lak’s Pakarang Cape.

“The long beach is perfect for leisurely walks, and the warm waters make for a delightful swim,” TripAdvisor wrote.

Two spots below in ninth place was Thailand’s Phra Nang Cave Beach, “a white-sand paradise surrounded by towering limestone cliffs on the tip of the Railay Peninsula in Krabi Province,” according to TripAdvisor. “The dramatic rock formations provide a stunning backdrop for swimming and sunbathing.”

TripAdvisor said that the 2025 Travelers' Choice Awards were based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews submitted globally on the website between Oct. 1, 2023, and Sept. 30, 2024.

“These awards celebrate destinations with the highest ratings, highlighting places that have captured the hearts of travelers worldwide,” the website wrote.
