On 17 July 2025, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S., and the Royal Thai Embassy team hosted a luncheon at Thai 54 restaurant for members of the Thai community in the Chapel Hill area and leading experts from the Research Triangle Institute (RTI) in attendance were representative of Team Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy team.

The luncheon served as a platform to strengthen connections between the Royal Thai Embassy, Thai government officials, the local Thai community, and RTI representatives. The event fostered open dialogue, information exchange, and reinforced the Embassy’s commitment to the well-being of Thai nationals in the U.S.

Ambassador Suriya reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to offer assistance, provide updated information on consular services, and maintain open communication. The gathering also offered insights into the broader direction of Thailand–U.S. relations, particularly in key areas such as economic cooperation, political engagement, and people-to-people ties.
