On June 25, 2024, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, presented the first prize for the winner of the Songkran - Thai Restaurant Week 2024, which included a round-trip flight from Washington, D.C. to Bangkok, a two-night stay at Content Villa Chiang Mai, a two-night stay at Siam @ Siam Design Hotel Bangkok, a $100 restaurant gift card from TIKI THAI, and Thai food products from Food Gusto Inc. to Ms. Sandie S. (Instagram account @adorkandherfork), at Edy’s Thai Kitchen (Address: 5240 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22041). The ceremony was supported by Ms. Edy Carlson, President of the Thai Restaurant Association in America, along with Ms. Porntipa Pattanamekar and Mr. Parasak Chokesatean, Co-Founder/executives of Pattana Restaurant Group, sponsors of the event. On this occasion, Ms. Carlson hosted dinner in honour of Ms. Sandie S.

Additionally, at noon, DCM Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, along with Miss Supawadee Yamgamol, Minister (Commercial Affairs) from the Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington D.C. presented prizes to one of the top ten winners with “The Most Likes”. The prizes included a $100 restaurant gift card from TIKI THAI, a $50 restaurant gift card from Edy’s Thai Kitchen, Thai food products from Food Gusto Inc., a Thai cookbook, a “Thailand” printed tote bag, and a Volcanic Stone Aroma Sachet to Ms. Claire Kamobaya, (Instagram account @clairekamobaya), at TIKI THAI (Address: 12100 Sunset Hills Rd, Ste 107, Reston, VA 20190). The ceremony was supported by Pattana Restaurant Group, who also hosted lunch for Ms. Kamobaya.

Furthermore, that same evening, Miss Supawadee Yamgamol, Minister (Commercial), together with officials from the Office of Commercial Affairs, presented the prizes, which included a Thai cookbook, a “Thailand” printed tote bag, a Volcanic Stone Aroma Sachet. They also presented the prizes of a $50 restaurant gift card on behalf of Edy’s Thai Kitchen and Thai food products on behalf of Food Gusto Inc., to @niche__eats (Instagram account), one of the top ten winners with the “Most Liked Post”, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington D.C.

Songkran - Thai Restaurant Week event, which was April 6-16, 2024, aimed to promote Thai cuisine, Thai restaurants, and the Songkran festival, enhancing the popularity of Thailand among the American public through soft power, in line with government policy. The event was organized by Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C., in collaboration with Team Thailand in Washington, D.C., Thai Trade Center in NYC, Tourism Authority of Thailand in NYC, and the Thai Restaurant Association of America (TRAA).
