On 13 February 2023, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat and Professor Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, co-chaired the Global Innovation Club Meeting to discuss the MOU on cooperation between the Royal Thai Embassy and Global Innovation Club as well as ways to promote Thailand’s innovative power and support Thai startups in the US.

The meeting was joined by representatives from Thai government agencies, Team Thailand in the US, Chulalongkorn University, and private sector partners, including Thai Startups Association, InnoSpace (Thailand), and TechSauce Media.

As the US is one of the world’s leading innovation hubs with the strong startup ecosystem, Ambassador Tanee reaffirmed the Embassy and Team Thailand’s readiness to support Thai startups, including assisting with pitching opportunities, finding VCs, and promoting access to the US market.

The Meeting agreed to focus on early-stage seed funding and scaling up the outstanding startups with high potential for the regional and global markets where Thai embassies and other government agencies stand ready to assist.
