On 19 January 2023, H.E. Mr. Tanee Sangrat, Ambassador of Thailand to the U.S. paid a visit to Mr. Karan Bhatia, Vice-President, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Google. On this occasion, Ambassador Tanee was briefed on Google’s business operations in Thailand, particularly the progress on the company’s first cloud region in Thailand. Mr. Bhatia expressed the company’s desire to expand its cooperation with Thailand including e-government development, small businesses promotion and cybersecurity. Ambassador Tanee emphasized on his determination to enhance cooperation between Thailand and Google on the promotion of Thailand’s SMEs and startups in the US.
