On 6 December 2024, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy, presided over the Friend of Thai Science 2024 Award Presentation Ceremony, organized by the Office of the Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, Royal Thai Embassy, Washington, D.C. (OHESDC), at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington, D.C. Participants at the ceremony included Team Thailand Officials and staffs and honorable guests from Academic Sector.

On this occasion, Chargé d'Affaires congratulated the two Award Recipients, namely Dr. Mark Gregory Robson and Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai. She praised the two individuals for their important role in promoting cooperation between Thailand and the United States in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation. Additionally, she stressed on the importance of the Science, Technology and Innovation to the advancement of today's world and expressed the Embassy’s readiness to work closely with the two Award Recipients to further strengthen collaboration between the US and Thailand on these fields.

The Friend of Thai Science 2024 Award Ceremony started in 2018 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to Thailand's scientific community, produced outstanding research and make useful contributions to Thailand and humanity. Between 2018 and 2023, a total of 12 individuals have received this honor - 11 from the United States and 1 from Canada.
