On 3 December 2023, Ms. Chuliepote Isarankura Na Ayudhaya, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy, presided over the alms-giving ceremony on the occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, the National Day of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day, 5 December 2023 at Wat Tummaprateip Washington, D.C.

Members of the temple management committee and members of the Thai community were also present, joining the prayers, merit making and offering alms to the monks. After the ceremony, the temple also organized activities and Thai dance performances to celebrate the long-held tradition of the Loy Krathong festival. Monks led prayers and blessings for the floating krathongs, and attendees participated by offering prayers and releasing Krathongs into a small pool to simulate a river.
