On 3 December 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy organized blessing and alms-giving ceremony on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, the National Day of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father’s Day 5 December 2023 at Wat Yarnna Rangsee Buddhist Monastery in Virginia. The ceremony was presided over by Ambassador Tanee Sangrat, with participation from Royal Thai Embassy and Team Thailand officials, staff, and family members, as well as Thai communities in Washington, D.C. and nearby areas.

The Ambassador gave a citation honoring His Majesty’s extraordinary contribution to the Thai people. The Ambassador also led the observation of 89 seconds of silence in remembrance of His Majesty.

On this occasion, Wat Yarnna Rangsee Buddhist Monastery invited the Ambassador to present Outstanding Father Award certificates to 6 selected individuals.
