Royal Thai Embassy Provides Mobile Consular Services at Wat Ampawan of America, Murfreesboro, Tennessee

On 29 September - 1 October, 2023, the consular team of the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington DC, led by Consul Sart Chaivoraphorn, provided mobile consular services to Thais living in the area, at Wat Ampawan of America in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The services included renewing Thai passports and ID cards and providing information and advice on other important consular matters for those living in Murfreesboro and nearby areas such as Nashville, Memphis, Lynchburg, Knoxville and other neighboring states such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Texas.

This is the Embassy ‘s first mobile consular services to Murfreesboro in seven years. During this three-day visit, consular staff were able to advise both individuals with prior appointments and walk-ins, totaling 207 people. Among these, 130 received passport services, 67 had Thai national ID card applications processed, and 10 sought information and consultations on various consular matters. Furthermore, the team also offered special services for senior citizens aged 70 and above on 29 September 2023 without advance online appointments to accommodate seniors who are not familiar with the online booking system.
