On 15 December 2022, Ambassador of Thailand led a delegation of the Nuad Thai and Spa Association of America and the Thai Town Council of Los Angeles to pay a courtesy call on Congresswoman Michelle Steel after their successful organization of the massage training program in Maryland between 13-14 December 2022. Ambassador Tanee and the Thai community thanked Congresswoman Steel for her kind help and support for the Thai community in Los Angeles in the past years and also took this opportunity to request her support in providing training or sharing useful information on tax submission related documents to the Thai entrepreneurs and businesses such as the Thai massage shops or Thai restaurant.

Additionally, in celebrating the 190th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United States, Ambassador Tanee invited Congresswoman Steel to visit Thailand in 2023 and hope to work with Congresswoman to promote closer trade and investment cooperation as well as integrating Thai boxing in schools’ curricular and the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.

Congresswoman Steel expressed her willingness to support the Thai-American community where possible as she has worked with the community for more than 10 years.
