On January 30, 2025, Ambassador Suriya Chindawongse together with Team Thailand officials and staff visited Seabury Resources for Aging in Washington, D.C., an NGO dedicated to caring for senior adults in the area, to support the organization’s elderly care program. This volunteer activity was part of the commemoration of the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua Attaining the Same Age as His Majesty King Buddha Yodfa Chulalok the Great (Rama I) in 2025.

On this occasion, the Ambassador and Thai officials were warmly welcomed by CEO Dawn Quattlebaum, who provided a briefing on Seabury’s background and mission. She also accepted the Embassy’s donation on behalf of the organization.
