On 27 July 2026, H.E. Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over the ceremonies in celebration of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's Birthday Anniversary on 28 July 2026. The ceremonies comprised:
(1) Buddhist chanting ceremony and meal offering to Buddhist monks to dedicate merit to His Majesty the King;
(2) Royal Tribute Ceremony featuring the presentation of Royal Ceremonial Offerings and floral arrangements;
(3) oath-taking ceremony for civil servants to reaffirm commitment to be good civil servants and the strength of the nation;
(4) candle-lighting ceremony to offer best wishes to His Majesty the King;
(5) signing of the book of well-wishes for His Majesty the King; and (6) volunteer activity.
The events were held at Wat Thai Washington, D.C., and attended by Heads of Team Thailand offices, officials and their spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Washington, D.C. and neighboring states.
