On 22 May 2026, Dr. Suriya Chindawongse, Ambassador of Thailand to the United States, presided over the Buddhist prayer ceremony and the offering of luncheon to monks in honour of Her Majesty Queen Rambhai Barni, Queen Consort of King Prajadhipok (King Rama VII), for the recognition by the UNESCO of the centenary of Her Majesty’s royal duties and contributions. The ceremony was held at Wat Yarnna Rangsee in Sterling, Virginia, and was attended by heads of Team Thailand offices, Embassy’s officials and spouses.
