On 11 October 2024, Ambassador Suriya Chindawonge met virtually with Ms. Iravati Damle, Zoom’s Head of Global Policy Operations, and Mr. Josh Kallmer, Head of Global Public Policy and Government Affairs, to follow up on the meeting between H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Eric Yuan, CEO and Founder of Zoom Video Corporations, in New York last month. Also joining the meeting were Mr. Nanthapol Sudbanthad, Director of Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), New York Office, and Ms. Navarat Vongbenjarat, Director of BOI, Los Angeles Office.

The Ambassador reiterated Thailand’s intention to collaborate and welcomed Zoom’s interest in Thailand to support digital technology ecosystem, e-government initiatives, and other industries. The meeting involved an exchanged of views on potential areas of cooperation, especially the impact of AI on the future of workforce and partnership in upskilling workers, as well as ways to facilitate the investment.
