On 26 January 2024, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat hosted a New Year Reception for the Congressional Asian Pacific American Staff Association (CAPASA), a non-partisan congressional staff organization that promotes a sense of community among Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Congressional staff, advocating for greater representation within Congress, and provides a platform for the membership to increase their familiarity with and knowledge of issues impacting the AANHPI community.

Attended by over 70 Congressional staff from the House and Senate as well as staffers from the U.S.-Thai Alliance Caucus, the event highlighted Thailand’s commitment to cultural exchange and mutual respect for diversity and inclusivity, and served as an affirmation to Thailand’s ongoing efforts to foster people-to-people ties between Thailand and the US.
