On 29 November 2023, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat discussed with Rep. Michelle Fischbach (R-MN), Member of Ways and Means Committee, the renewal of GSP and the promotion of two-way trade and investment, and support for the IMET training.

Ambassador Tanee stressed Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin’s pledge to strengthen two-way trade and investment as well as Thailand’s position as a reliable partner to the US in maintaining peace and security in the region.

Rep. Fischbach visited Thailand as part of the U.S. Congressional delegation on 7 September 2023 led by Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY).
